We are 35 minutes from San Simeon or Paso Robles, 12 minutes to San Luis Obispo, and 20 minutes to Avila and Pismo.

FEBRUARY: 2/8-2/9 33rd Annual Arroyo Grande Antique Show. Valentine’s Day is Feb 14th. The Tall Ships arrive February 7th. The annual Surf Contest is on Feb 15th. President’s Day is the 17th. If Doll Houses are your thing, the Doll House & Miniatures Show is on the 22nd. SLO Comedy Festival begins.

APRIL: Never miss Morro Bay’s All City garage sale 4/5-4/6. April 5th is the 19th Annual Central Coast Orchid Show&Sale. 4/11-4/13 is the Pismo Beach Kitexpo. The Emergency Vehicle Show is 4/12. 6.2 mile Miracle Mile for Kids Walk/Run is 4/19. Easter April 20th. Annual Kite Festival 4/27. San Luis Obispo’s Annual 5K Marathon 4/25-4/27.
JUNE: Just 25 minutes away from Avila’s Oyster Festival. June 7th is Morro Bay’s first Estero Kyack Challange. Stay here and celebrate Graduation at Cal Poly just 12 minutes to the East.
JULY: A spectacular fireworks show in Cayucos accompanies an afternoon long Tidelands Park celebration with a day long 4th of July celebration including music and a Bike Parade! Art in the Park is a great way to spend part of the 4th weekend. Rock to Pier Run is 7/18. Mid State Fair begins July 22nd…cool down in Morro Bay while you heat up the night with Keith Urban!
AUGUST: Tall Ships arrive. Merchant’s Street Faire. Art in the Park 8/29-9/1. Art in the Park finally weekend over Labor Day.
SEPTEMBER: Annual Avocado&Margarita Festival draws thousands on August 11th and at the end of the month Sunset Magazine’s Savor the Central Coast’s 3 day event highlights Central Coast wine and food. Wood Carvers show at the Cayucos peer.
OCTOBER: Harbor Festival has revamped this year – it’s a one day event on October 3rd. Morro Bay’s 2nd annual Tri-athalon.
NOVEMBER: Cayucos car show. Holiday Gift Faire.
DECEMBER: Annual Lighted Boat Parade & Tree Lighting. December and so is the beginning of Dungeness Crab season.
ALL YEAR ROUND in Morro Bay…Every Saturday there is a mini car show right at our doorstep. The Main Street Open Air Market is every Saturday 2:30-5pm. Art Walk is the 2nd Friday of each month.
If events are not your calling, water activities such as kayacking, surfing, paddle boarding, sailing, and fishing are year round. Discover the back bay on one of the cruises. Hike our many trails and the sand spit.
